From PA Turnpike exit 39.  Take Rt 8 south 1.5 miles to Wildwood Rd (Yellow Belt).  Turn left at the light and go 1.1 miles to the stop sign on Middle Rd.  Turn right and go 2.2 miles to the parking lot on the left just past Central Elementary School.

From downtown Pittsburgh.  Take Rt 28 north  to exit 5B on the left, Rt 8 toward Butler.  Go 1.4 miles and take a right on Saxonburg Blvd.  Go only about 50 yards and take a left onto Middle Rd.  Follow Middle Rd about 5.2 miles to the parking lot on the right, just past the "Performance entrance" to Hartwood and just before the Central Elementary School.

Note:  Do not follow signs to the Mansion at Hartwood acres; that will lead you to the wrong side of the park.  If you do wind up at the mansion, you will need to take Saxonburg Rd and Harts Run Rd over to Middle Rd, as shown in the locator map.
